Mahamudra Practice Retreat with Tsangsar Tulku Rinpoche

With Tsangsar Tulku Rinpoche

July 24 - 28, 2023

We warmly welcome you to participate in this special retreat, led by Tsangsar Tulku Rinpoche, which will serve as the capstone practice retreat of Gomde California’s 2023 Buddhist Studies Summer Program.

This practice retreat is recommended for those who have received Mahamudra or Dzogchen instructions from a qualified lama, however it will also support those who have received and are practicing foundational calm-abiding (shamatha) instructions. The schedule will be structured around several formal “unelaborate” or resting meditation sessions throughout each day, with very few teachings or instructions provided. In addition to the periods of meditation, attendees will also engage in Gomde California’s daily morning and evening pujas.

This is an excellent way to prepare our minds before the start of Kyabje Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche’s Summer Seminar on August 3rd. If you would like to attend this retreat and stay on-site to assist with preparation for Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche’s program, please email Molly Mansfield at coordinator@gomdeca.org for further details and information on pricing.

Limited scholarship and work-study positions are available. For inquiries regarding scholarships, please write to coordinator@gomdeca.org.
